Metallix Refining has opened a new state-of-the-art scrap catalytic converter processing facility located in Maxton, North Carolina.
The new facility allows Metallix to significantly increase our catalytic converter recycling capacity and stand by our mission of continuously improving our precious metal recycling process and technology.
The Maxton facility has the capacity to process 4,000,000 lbs. per year of ceramic converters and 3,500,000 lbs. per year of metal foil converters.
This facility gives Metallix an advantage in capacity, flexibility, reliability, and speed while offering the market competitive pricing and an excellent customer experience. Additionally, Metallix is in the forefront of the PGM recycling process, being one of the few facilities in the world capable of processing metal foil converters.
The Maxton facility is an entry point for our PGM Pipeline initiative. The PGM Pipeline is a strategic alliance of companies with facilities dedicated to refining and recycling PGM metals quickly and in as few steps, as possible.
