Global Operations Technician

Work Pattern/ Days: Monday – Friday (unless working abroad)

Salary: £30K pa, during initial training (3-month duration), once completed a higher salary would be agreed, pension scheme and excellent benefits package
Role summary
Metallix Refining Europe Ltd is looking for two Global Operations Technicians for the precious metal recovery and refining industry. Reporting to the Global Operations Manager, the role requires both on-site work as part of a team and office-based administrative and sales duties to secure future business.
This role involves international travel and may require up to three months of travel per year, which includes site work, customer visits and support work at our precious metal refinery in the USA. The company provides comprehensive training and support to ensure success in the role, as well as opportunities for career advancement.
The ideal candidate for this position should be highly organised, self-motivated, and focused, with a hands-on approach to physical project demands and a problem-solving approach to issues that may arise. They should have a desire to learn and progress in their career, making them a good fit for a long-term position.
Requirements

● A good level of fitness, being able to handle heavy equipment and material and lift/carry equipment and material upto 20Kg.
● Be willing to undertake necessary practical training to meet the job requirements.
● Have an avid interest in working in the precious metal processing industry.
● Driving Licence.
Academic/Educational Requirement
● Educated to minimum GSCE Level with good mathematic ability.
Core Responsibilities
● Assisting the Global Operations team with the execution and successful operation of onsite projects.
● Corresponding with customers on a global scale through email, calls and Teams.
● Research into new equipment and techniques to improve site operations.
● Assist the Global Operations Manager with the costing and evaluation of new onsite projects.
● Involvement with the sales team taking site meetings, in-person or through Teams calls.
● Work in our Leaching Department in Greenville, North Carolina, USA on occasion to support the team performing recovery projects.
● Work diligently, be able to problem solve and use your own initiative to improve processes to help maximise efficiency, both on-site and within the Leaching Material Department.
Desirable Additional Skills
● Practical, hands-on, problem-solving approach.
● Any knowledge or experience within the environmental services industry.
● Additional language skills could be an advantage.
● Possessing good office/IT skills.
